Honda Inverter & Cycloconverter Series Generators

What is an Inverter?

The Honda inverter series generators produce multi-phase, high voltage AC (alternating current) and then change it to DC (direct current) electronically. This DC voltage is then processed (inverted) into ultra-clean, stable 120V AC power.

The cutting edge micro-electronics in Honda's Inverter generators delivers the highest quality, ultra-clean power for even the most sensitive equipment. Inverter circuitry minimizes spikes and fluctuations in the power source for safe operation of the latest electronic equipment from personal computers to the most sophisticated scientific devices. And because these abilities are packed into micro-circuitry, Honda's Inverter series generators are lightweight and compact.

What is a Cycloconverter?

The Honda cycloconverter series generators produce multiphase, high voltage AC (alternating current) and then processes (converts) it through the Cycloconverter unit into a stable single phase 120V AC power.

At the heart of the all new Honda Cycloconverter Series is a unique new generator system featuring a special high-speed multi-pole alternator integrated into the engine itself. Honda got rid of the bulky flywheel usually attached to the engine and replaced it with this unique alternator and Cycloconverter, effectively reducing the overall weight and size by approximately 30%.
